About Berges Fest

Each Father's Day Weekend, Main Street in Boerne or the historic Herff Park transforms into a fun-filled weekend of live music, old-fashioned contests of skill and luck, and so much more… this celebration is Boerne Berges Fest, an annual celebration that started in 1967 as an ice cream social and music fest celebrating the area's German heritage that has since grown to entertain more than 15,000 people each year.

Featuring a carnival, family-friendly games, a vast variety of cuisines, local bands, street dances, a parade, arts and crafts, and so much more, Berges Fest is one of the few regional celebrations that still offers free admission to the public. This is made possible through the generous contributions of sponsors including local businesses, the organization's directors, sponsors, and volunteers, and the surrounding community. Profits generated during these three-days of family-friendly fun are used to fund the annual Miss Berges Fest Scholarship, and to make donations to other charitable organizations whose activities promote the health, general welfare, advancement, and betterment of the Boerne community.

The city of Boerne is renown for its small-town appeal, including quaint boutique shopping, a plethora of antique stores, bed and breakfast inns, and top-notch dining. Load up your family and friends, and head to Boerne to celebrate, shop, eat, drink, and play. All those who flock to the small town from miles around for the Father's Day Weekend celebration are sure to walk away with great memories to last a lifetime.
